God-forsaken Trends in sub-Saharan Africa covers alarming subjects: Zimbabwean Whites farms expropriated, Rwandan Genocide, AIDS, and lots more. All of this is described against the backdrop of an unprecedented upheaval: the rise of independent states as they threw off the shackles of colonialism.

The author Ronald Thompson, lived through the period and in the area of the upheaval, and has a handle on the history of the upheaval that will enlighten the reader. From another perspective, the book describes God-forsaken Trends regarding how Europe entered into sub-Saharan Africa initially, and how Africa evicted the European colonial powers. These trends are weighed in the balances of God and found wanting. Ronald Thompson, Ph.D., was born and raised in Zimbabwe-Rhodesia. He spent five years as a missionary in Uganda and thirty-three as a pastor-evangelist in Zimbabwe, South Africa and the United States.

He is an ecclesiastical historian with two works to his name in historical theology. He has earned honors swimming in the National Senior Olympics. Ronald and Dawn have two sons serving as medical doctors.
